Product Overview:
Mirka Iridium Soft 5" Multifit™ Grip Dry Sanding Discs (24-5MF Series) is a soft foam abrasive for dust-free dry sanding and pre-polishing steps, developed for automotive OEMs and collision repair specialists for sanding curved and intricate shape surfaces.
Iridium Soft features a three-part construction with an abrasive surface made from durable aluminum oxide grains, a flexible foam base and a secure grip backing. Mirka's Multifit™ hole configuration provides efficient sanding with less clogging, pilling and swirl marks.
Iridium Soft offers the best of both worlds with fast, dust-free dry sanding and fine precision grit. It has a stearate that acts like a lubricant, eliminating the need for water. The advantages of dry sanding are that it is fast, allows you to inspect the surface while sanding, and makes cleanup easy. In contrast, wet sanding benefits from the water acting as a lubricant but requires wiping and cleaning the surface to examine the results.
Iridium Soft’s abrasive surface features long-lasting aluminum oxide grains. Coupled with Mirka's Multifit™ hole configuration, this gives you efficient sanding with minimal clogging, pilling and swirl marks.

Iridium Soft 5" Multifit™ pattern fits all 5" grip backing plates with any vacuum hole configuration.
Notes: Iridium Soft is recommended for dry sanding only; it is not intended to be used wet. Iridium Soft tends to be less aggressive than regular Iridium, you may wish to use a grit one step coarser than regular Iridium to see comparable scratch removal.
Sold 20 discs per box in a variety of P rated grit options ranging from 400 to 2,000 grits.
